
I often travel for food and wine adventures, however it’s always a pleasure when a culinary experience is at my doorstep. With my recent departure from London to Birmingham, I was excited to hear that The Midlands had a lot to offer in wine and drinks events, the key was to find them
This week (May 15th-May 21st 2016) sees the return of the annual English Wine Takeover in Birmingham from The Food & Drink Events Company (in partnership with trade association, English Wine Producers).
Teaming up with a number of exciting UK vineyards including the outstanding Gusbourne Estate, who have just been awarded gold medals in the 2016 Sommelier Wine Awards, the event is set to showcase some of the best wines England has to offer.

The week long celebration of English Wine, finishes with a wine festival at The Bond Company, Digbeth on Saturday 21st May 2016. The festival will be an opportunity to meet producers, experience guided tastings and master classes from the likes of Laura Rhys MS.
