I’m Ireti and welcome to Wine Press Girl. I have a big appetite for food, fine wine and travel!

The blog focuses on my new expat life in Iceland, restaurant and bar reviews, what’s hot in wines and cocktails, tried and tested recipes, travel experiences here and abroad and events worth visiting.

I started the Wine Press Girl blog 2 and a half years ago, but the idea behind Wine Press Girl was conceived in 2013. I was mainly into Twitter and Instagram back then and blogged under the pseudonym Pressed for Wine. Do check out my first blog here, the picture quality was horrendous back then! In early 2016, I decided to bind both ideas together and alas, this site was born.

Having travelled the world on and off, for the last 5 or so years, including a brief stint in Birmingham. I recently decided to move to Iceland.

A little about me..

• I love fine wine and hold a certificate in wine and spirits
• I’m addicted to travel and recently spent a month in Thailand, preparing my mind and body for Iceland
• I really enjoy cooking
• I have organised over 150 weddings and have inside knowledge of the hospitality scene
